Aesthetic taping

Home / Taping

The general name of the procedure comes from the words kinesio – movement, and tape – tape, ie. “moving tape”, “moving tape”. Initially, the method was used to regenerate athletes, treat injuries, increase endurance in training and prepare for competitions.

Aesthetic taping consists in gluing tapes along the muscles – elastic tapes made of 100% cotton on a hypoallergenic adhesive base.

Kinesio tapes in many aspects are simular to epidermis and “fix” the skin in the position we need. Tapes improve microcirculation, eliminate swelling, alleviate muscle hypertonicity and stimulate regenerative processes in tissues.

The applications perfectly complement the massage techniques, as they contribute to the fastest possible lymphatic drainage and outflow of interstitial fluid.

After applying the tape to the epidermis we observe a lifting effect. Lifting effect is created due to reduced pressure under the tape, which leads to improved blood and lymph flow. In aesthetic taping the applications affects on nerve endings, so when applied correctly, tape can correct some facial habits and physiological changes.
